“Autopos Marine Inc. DBA Autonav©  provided a new steering system for the NOAA Ship Fairweather in late 2015 while the ship was in dry dock at Bay Ship and Yacht in Alameda, CA. Autonav provided all engineering documentation, hardware and software for the project. Autonav also made several ship visits as required for oversight of installation, commissioning and testing of the steering system.

 

The steering system has performed very well giving the Fairweather much more precise steering than she had before. Autonav has been very responsive to any questions we have had about the system. Presently we are considering installing new Autonav Steering Motors to replace the old steering motors.
